Ministry of Interior Participates in a Security Training in Slovakia




ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, July 26th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the Response Team for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) incidents at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, has participated in a security training exercise that was held recently in the Slovak Republic.

From 6 to 10 July, the five-day exercise was conducted by the US Department of Energy in cooperation with the Slovakian Interior Ministry. The participation of the UAE comes under the strategic collaboration and partnership with the Slovak Republic in order to effectuate the memorandum of understanding between the two countries in the security fields.

The delegation of the MoI emphasized the importance of participating in such exercises that promote the exchange of expertise and build upon each country’s levels of readiness. The delegation also highlighted the importance of recognizing opportunities for improvement in security fields and of identifying the best international practices that have already been adopted.

It is worth mentioning that the training held in the Slovak Republic was attended by several local entities, of whom represented the national team and a number of countries. Throughout the framework of the training exercises, various training scenarios were implemented.
